Hi Girlies,
Today we arrived in Mauritius, but first I’ll start with last night. Nana wore this to dinner.
We went to the Japanese specialty restaurant. We started with these spring rolls and shrimp tempura.
Gpa had this sashimi dish.
Nana had the lobster stir fry. Everything was yummy.
Mauritius is an island 1300 miles off the east coast of Africa. This is what Port Louis looked liked from our ship.
We took this small boat from our ship to the shore.
Nanoo wore her Panama hat because the sun was so hot.
How do you like these umbrellas? Pretty colorful and a great way to provide shade.

Lots of pretty buildings in town
This girl could really dance.
This nice mall was air conditioned, we needed some cool air.
Don’t you think Gpa should have gotten a discount here?
The waterfront area was very fancy with lots of high end shops. We then ventured farther into the city and it was a lot different. We walked down this street which was like a big flea market. We didn’t buy anything.
This windmill is in the middle of town. Don’t know what ii is used for today.
One last picture. Do you think whoever was driving this boat got in trouble :). They did a nice job on this bridge!
So that is a look at Port Louis. We had a nice day walking around the town, even if it was very hot and humid. Tomorrow we are on the island of Reunion which, believe it or not, is part of France.
Bye for now, we love you.
Gpa and Nanoo

They sure did something to that bridge and all of those houses looked REALLY COOL! Love
ReplyDeleteBudgie.PS: I loved the rainbow umbrellas
:) I love those rainbow umbrellas. They are so colorful. All of those buildings look amazing too. Gpa, you defiantly should have gotten a discount at that store. That bridge you saw was pretty badly damadged. The person who crashed into it probably had to pay some money. Luv u.
