Hi Girlies,
Yesterday we were in Melbourne. This is the second largest city in Australia. We rode this neat tram from where the ship was docked into the city center.
The city has lots of pretty buildings. This is the train station.
A pretty church.
There is even a street named for Gpa :).
There is almost no graffiti in Melbourne. Maybe we need some of these guys in the USA.
We went to a memorial for all Australia’s military men and women. The flame there always burns.
This building is the Shrine of Remembrance and it also honors Australia’s military. These kids were on a field trip. They were all drawing a picture of the building. How do you like their uniforms? Would you like to wear uniforms to school?
Here is view of the city from the top of the war memorial.
Next to the war memorial is the botanical garden, this is the entrance.
This honors the first governor of Australia.
Last night Nana wore this casual outfit to dinner.
oth
We both had oysters.
Nana had shrimp (what, only two shrimp??!!) and Gpa had a ribeye steak.
Big surprise, Nanoo had a real dessert, a chocolate trifle.
Gpa had rum raisin ice cream. Everything at dinner was yummy.
After dinner we watched the movie Gone Girl, weird ending. So, we are now on our way to Adelaide, Australia. But the Captain just announced that we are stopping somewhere to put a passenger off the ship with a medical emergency. Bye for now. We love you and miss you.

ReplyDeleteThose buildings are stunning and I reall y like that garden. I don't think I'd like a uniform for school though.... Nana looks cute in that outfit? Was that the first casual outfit she wore to dinner?:) Also, was she expecting more shrimp?! The desserts look good too;)
