Last Day in Auckland

Hi Girlies,

We have had a great time in Auckland.  Yesterday we did a very nice tour of the city.  Here is Nanoo with our driver.

We saw lots of boats.  New Zealand has more boats per person than any country in the world, 1 boat for every three people.

Auckland has 53 volcanos in the city.  Lucky for them the last one erupted 600 years ago.  We went to the top on one volcano, Mt Eden.  Here is what the city looked like from there.

Today we went on a ferry boat ride to Devonport, a seaside city just across the bay from Auckland.  The boat ride was fun.

In Devonport we climbed another volcano, Mt Victoria.

It was a pretty good climb to the top, but the views were worth it.

 

After our trip to Devonport we walked to the Auckland fish market.  

Sorry Budgie, Gpa had to have another beer.

So that’s a bit of what we did the last two days here.  We really love this city, one of the best places we have ever visited.  We are leaving here in a few hours for Tauranga and our night in Hobbiton.  We hope we can take lots of pictures for you.  Bye for now.  We love you and we really liked talking to you today.
