Hi Girlies,
Budgie, I wore those glasses because they are light weight, and I knew I would be wearing them all day. I still wear all my other sunglasses.
Yesterday I told you all about our visit to Shanty Town. I want to put in one more picture. This lady is an Inca and she came down out of the Andes Mountains to Lima to care for her grand children. She talked to us non stop, but, since she was speaking Inca, we couldn’t understand a word she was saying. Her hat is made of plaster.
After lunch we started our afternoon tour of Lima. We were now in central Lima which is about 45 minutes from Shanty Town. Going from Shanty Town to downtown Lima is like traveling to a different world. Lima is a big, clean, busy, safe, and beautiful city. There are so many pretty building. This building used to be a train station, but is now a library.
This is a church. Can you all the pigeons nesting on the building?
We came across this wedding party outside a church. All the tourists were taking their picture.
The city was very busy. Here is a shopping street we walked down.
Here is the Plaza Mayor in the middle of the city.
Do you think Sabrena moved to Shanty Town?
OK Girlies, that’s all for today. Yesterday we both had tummy aches, but we are much better today. No dinner pictures from last night. We had room service and watched the Super Bowl.
Love you,
Gpa and Nanoo,
xoxoxo
