Hi Girlies,
Here is where our ship was anchored today. We use the lifeboats to get to shore.
Well, Bora Bora was interesting. Our long planned private tour didn’t happen. Even though it was booked and confirmed over a year ago, the tour company was not expecting us. I had a copy of the email confirming the tour, but they just gave me a shoulder shrug. So, we went to the InterContinental Hotel and used their facilities on a day pass. The hotel was beautiful and Gpa loved the pool. We had two bloody Mary’s for $33, wow!
The second problem we had was the weather. This is the rainy season here and we had rain and wind most of the day. But we made the best of it and had a nice time. We returned to the ship for lunch. We are now doing our laundry. So, it wasn’t the day we expected in Bora Bora, but on a cruise this long, there are going to be some bad weather days. You can see the clouds in this picture. BTW, those bungalows go for $1500 per night, yikes. Cancun is a better deal!
This band was playing were we got off the ship. They were great.
So, sorry we don’t have all those pictures from the pig roast, but things happen. This afternoon we sail for Rarotonga in the Cook Islands (where the heck is that). We have a tour planned there.
So bye for now. We love you and miss you.

That band was very colorful. Love budgie
ReplyDeleteI would love to go to a pool like that. Too bad your tour was canceled though. And I can't believe it cost $33 to get a Bloody Mary too. Did you like the band that was playing?
